Palmy Stallions P4: A Remarkable First Season Run to the Finals 🧡🐎
The 2024/25 season will go down as a special chapter in the history of Palmy Stallions Cricket Club. Our Premier 4 (P4) team, introduced for the very first time this season, made an immediate impact by storming their way into the One Day Finals under the Manawatū Cricket Association (MCA) competition.
Although the championship slipped just beyond reach in the final against Palmerston P4 Kings XI, the journey was nothing short of inspirational. The debut season showcased the resilience, team spirit, and determination that define the Stallions’ culture.
The Grand Final Battle ⚔️
In a spirited final clash, the Stallions bowled first and worked hard to contain Kings XI. Strong bowling efforts saw Kings XI restricted to 150 all out in 37.2 overs.
Key bowling highlight:
- Rajeev Johnson – 7 overs, 2/46
Chasing 151 for victory, the Stallions fought with grit. Partnerships built hope, with several batters stepping up under pressure. However, Kings XI held their nerve and sealed the game by 4 wickets, finishing at 154/6 in 31 overs.

- Jibin Jose Vadakkepeedika – 37 runs
- Rajeev Johnson – 20 runs
