Palmy Stallions Cricket Club began its journey in 2022, competing in the Manawatū Cricket Association (MCA) with a men’s team in the Premier 3 grade. Since then, the club has grown steadily, officially affiliating with the MCA and becoming a registered incorporated society in the 2024–25 season. As part of our ongoing development and community engagement, we’re proud to be expanding to include two teams in the Premier 4 competition in the 2025–26 season.
We bring together passionate cricketers from across the Manawatū and Whanganui regions, promoting not only competitive cricket but also inclusivity, sportsmanship, and the spirit of the game. Our goal is to help every player perform to their full potential and to create opportunities to compete at higher levels.
Palmy Stallions CC has been an active contributor to the local cricket community, fostering the game’s growth through a range of initiatives. Each season, we host four major cricket tournaments that attract players from across New Zealand: the Stallions Premier League, Palmy Cricket League, Palmy Champions League, and we also actively participate in the Manawatū IPL Tournament. These events have become highlights on the regional cricket calendar and showcase our commitment to promoting cricket at all levels.
In just our second season, we proudly clinched the P3 Championship title under the MCA and have consistently reached finals in subsequent seasons. Our home ground and clubrooms at Manawaroa Park serve as a central hub for training, games, and community events.
If you’re looking for a club that plays competitive cricket, builds strong friendships, and fosters a true love for the game, Palmy Stallions CC is the club for you.
Our Vision
To be a leading community-based cricket club in the Manawatū and Whanganui regions — recognised for our commitment to player development, inclusivity, and excellence both on and off the field.
We envision a club where every cricketer, regardless of background or skill level, has the opportunity to grow, compete, and be part of a strong, supportive cricketing community.
Meet our team
Palmy Stallions Cricket Club has been proudly affiliated with the Manawatū Cricket Association since 2022. In a short time, we’ve established ourselves as one of the region’s fastest-growing and most community-focused cricket clubs — and have already produced several promising players who represent the future of cricket in our region.
We are based at Manawaroa Park in Palmerston North, where we have our own clubrooms and access to high-quality grounds and training facilities. This venue is the heart of our club and a place where players, families, and supporters come together to enjoy the game.
Our club is driven by the passion and dedication of a committed group of volunteers — including our Executive Committee, Team Managers, Coaches, Event Organisers, and Community Supporters. Without their hard work, we simply wouldn’t be able to function, let alone grow. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who contribute to the ongoing success and direction of Palmy Stallions CC.
